I have to say, it looks mighty empty in my living room! I did leave out a winter themed runner & a plump little snowman… ☃️

Honestly, I can’t believe that I left my tree & decorations up for so long this year! I think it’s because I really wanted to savour the season & enjoy the beauty of Christmas. Last year we were living with piles of boxes around us at Christmas. The tree went up, kids opened gifts, the tree went down. It wasn’t even fully decorated, and nothing else came out.
I feel if we left it up any longer we’d have to decorate it in pink & red hearts & ribbons soon! So it was time…

In the entire year we’ve been here I’ve seen *one* little red squirrel, 🐿️ which was honestly more towards a chipmunk size. It was at my friends house & she doesn’t live “in town”, but I’ve never seen any of these guys in my neighbourhood.
We had a bunch of these little guys in London & I find them so adorable & entertaining! lol!
I guess they’d be “easy prey” for some of the critters out here anyway.

I love this stuff. I finally saw it on sale at the grocery store a while back, gave in & tried it. However, now that I have found this unicorn, I can never go back to “regular” dish soap.
I used this stuff in my air fryer & it made it Soo easy to clean the oil & grease! I was hoping it would help, but truly, it made it an absolute breeze!
The best thing about this stuff is your dishes don’t taste like soap. I don’t hand wash a lot but I found with dish soap you have to rinse like crazy to get all the soap taste off… *ick* Not with with stuff, as it’s a fine mist instead of thick, gooey soap.
Now, this bottle was almost empty this morning, so I googled homemade refills & found a simple & super affordable recipe!
Homemade Dawn Powerwash: Easy Recipe for Refills
Grab your empty Dawn Powerwash bottle. (Unscrew lid, I thought mine was maybe not going to come off, but it just unscrews weird)
Pour 13 fl oz (380 ml) of water into the container. (*I didn’t measure the water, I just left an inch or so of space in the bottle)
Pour in Dawn dish soap. (*I used 2 TBSP)
Add in rubbing alcohol. (*I used 1 TBSP)
Put in a few drops of essential oil if you like. (*Nope, I don’t do oils)
Screw the lid on and shake the bottle. (*I swirled back & forth rather than shaking)
Use your homemade Dawn Powerwash spray.
I am really happy with the outcome! It smells & looks exactly the same! But costs cents to make, rather than $$ for a refill.
